Acrylic Boxes

An acrylic box is a clear, hard case in which you stand a sealed product or a graded card rather than store it away. They come in sizes for a booster box, an Elite Trainer Box, a booster pack and a slab, and they keep dust and knocks off the product while it is on display.

The difference from an ordinary storage box is in what you do with it. A binder or a deck box is meant to put something away; an acrylic box is meant to show something and not touch it at the same time. That is exactly why collectors use them for sealed products: a booster box standing loose on a shelf gets picked up more often than you think, and every time you pick it up it takes a risk. Do watch the size: these cases are made per product type, and an ETB case will not fit around a booster box.

A sealed booster box is for many collectors the most expensive thing on the shelf, and it is exactly the product that gets damaged fastest: the cardboard corners dent, the foil picks up pressure marks and the colours on the box fade in the light. An acrylic case fits precisely around it and keeps the box the way you bought it.

It also simply looks better. A booster box in a clear case looks like it is sitting in a shop, and you can put it out without dust settling on it.
