Learn more about Sword & Shield Series

Above you will find every Sword & Shield set released so far in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This series brought the eighth generation of Pokémon from the Galar region and introduced Pokémon V, VMAX and later VSTAR. The Trainer Gallery subsets come from here as well.

Anyone collecting modern alternate arts starts with this series: it is where that kind of card began. An alternate art is the same card as the ordinary V or VMAX, but with a completely different illustration and a number above the set total. That idea has stayed in every series since, and the best known examples — such as the cards from Evolving Skies — still come from this period.
