What is a sleeved booster pack?

A sleeved booster pack is an ordinary booster pack inside an extra plastic sleeve with its own artwork. The pack inside is identical to a loose pack from the same set: the same cards, the same odds. What you get on top is the sleeve.

That sleeve does two things. It protects the pack against creases and pressure marks, which matters if you want to keep packs sealed. And it makes the pack harder to judge from the outside, because you can no longer feel or weigh anything through it. Most sets come with several sleeve designs, which is why some collectors want them complete per set rather than opening them.
