Topps Series 2

Topps Series 2 is the second series of Pokémon trading cards released by Topps, on June 1, 2000. This set introduced 72 new cards and expanded on the previous series with the remaining Kanto Pokémon (#79 through #151) and additional scenes from the Pokémon animated series. The cards are not part of the official Pokémon Trading Card Game, but became popular among collectors for their nostalgic value and unique designs. Like Series 1, there were several variants, such as foil and rainbow foil cards, which made the set extra desirable. Despite not being playable within the TCG, they are often collected as a nostalgic part of Pokémon history.
