When does the Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box release?
The Elite Trainer Box for Mega Evolution – Delta Reign (ME06) releases on November 6, 2026, at the same time as the rest of the set. Delta Reign is the sixth set in the Mega Evolution series and revolves around Mega Rayquaza ex, who also features on the box itself. Both variants of the box become available on the same day.
Which variants are there?
There is one standard Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box, with Mega Rayquaza ex large on the front against a prismatic starfield.
Alongside it there is also a Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box variant, available exclusively through Pokémon Center.
What's inside the standard Elite Trainer Box?
The standard Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box contains:
- 9 Mega Evolution – Delta Reign booster packs
- 1 full-art foil promo card: Kyogre as an Illustration Rare
- 65 card sleeves in Delta Reign style

- A player's guide to the set
- 6 damage-counter dice

Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box – why is this one interesting?
Next to the standard version there is also a Pokémon Center Exclusive Elite Trainer Box. The build-up is the same, but you get a few things on top.
Extras in the Pokémon Center ETB:
- 11 booster packs instead of 9
- A Kyogre promo card with a Pokémon Center stamp
- Limited availability, only through Pokémon Center
The promo card: Kyogre Illustration Rare
Both versions of the box contain the same promo card: Kyogre as an Illustration Rare, card number MEP 117. It's a Basic Pokémon with 150 HP and the attacks Waterfall and Brutal Whirlpool, illustrated by Nurikabe. Below you can see the version from the Pokémon Center box.
What makes the Pokémon Center version special?
The Kyogre Illustration Rare is a card to look forward to in any case. It was drawn by the same illustrator responsible for the Groudon Illustration Rare from Paradox Rift, a card that landed very well with collectors. In the Pokémon Center version this Kyogre gets an extra stamp, which makes it a separate variant alongside the regular promo card.
Because Delta Reign hasn't released yet, there is no market data available on what this stamped variant will be worth, let alone a PSA 10 value. Once the set is out and the first sales come in, we'll know more about how this card compares to the regular Kyogre promo.
Is this Elite Trainer Box interesting to collect?
Elite Trainer Boxes with a Pokémon Center exclusive variant tend to be popular with collectors, simply because distribution is more limited than for the standard version you find in every store. Less supply generally means a product becomes scarcer over time, certainly if the set itself turns out to be popular, and Mega Rayquaza ex has everything it takes to become a beloved headline card.

Is the Elite Trainer Box a good way to get cards from Delta Reign? That depends on what you're after. Alongside the packs you get sleeves, Energy cards, dice and a collector's box that you'll keep using afterwards. If you're purely after opening as many cards as possible, a booster box gets you more packs. If you want the promo card and the accessories too, the Elite Trainer Box is the logical choice.
Is the Kyogre promo card also in the booster packs? No, and that's exactly what makes it special. Kyogre was deliberately left out of the 103-card main set and printed only as promo card MEP 117. So you won't pull it from a pack: the Elite Trainer Box is the only place it appears.
