The next main set of the One Piece Card Game has been announced: OP-18. Bandai is promising three big themes, including a brand-new one, and a long-awaited character who takes on the role of Leader for the first time. When does OP-18 come out?

Bandai hasn't officially confirmed the release date yet. Several international retailers mention late November 2026 as the expected date, but bear in mind that this can still shift. As soon as Bandai makes the date official, we'll update this blog.

  • OP-18 single booster packs

Why is OP-18 so interesting?

The biggest news is the Leader reveal: a character that fans have been asking for for a long time is getting their own Leader card for the first time. Bandai describes this as a card that "rebuilds the play environment", which suggests new archetypes and strategies are coming that could shake up the current meta considerably.

On top of that, OP-18 introduces a completely new third theme alongside two existing themes, which means players get fresh deck options to experiment with again. The familiar rarity distribution stays largely the same: alongside the 6 Leaders and dozens of Commons and Uncommons, the set also contains Super Rares, Secret Rares, Special Cards, a Treasure Rare and a DON!! card.

For collectors and players this is one of the sets to keep an eye on already: new main sets often bring the cards that dominate the competitive scene for months. Yes, as with virtually every main set, the Japanese edition usually comes out earlier than the international (English) release. As soon as Bandai Japan confirms a date, we'll add it here. Bear in mind that the Japanese and English versions can be several weeks to months apart in release timing.
