When does the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box release?
Both Elite Trainer Boxes release on September 16, 2026, at the same time as the rest of the 30th Celebration set. That's immediately what makes this release special: it's the first time a Pokémon main set launches worldwide on the same day in English, Japanese and Chinese.
Which variants are there?
There is one standard 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box, with the silhouette of Pikachu in gold on the front, where the 3 and the 0 of 30 form its cheeks.
Alongside it there is a Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box variant, available exclusively through Pokémon Center.
What's inside the standard Elite Trainer Box?
The standard 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box contains:
- 9 30th Celebration booster packs
- 1 full-art foil promo card featuring Nidorina
- 65 card sleeves
- 16 foil Basic Energy cards

Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box – why is this one interesting?
The Pokémon Center version has the same accessories, but you get two things on top.
Extras in the Pokémon Center ETB:
- 11 booster packs instead of 9
- 2 Nidorina promo cards instead of 1, one of them carrying the Pokémon Center logo
- Limited availability, only through Pokémon Center
The promo card: Nidorina full art
The promo card is a full art Nidorina with card number MEP 101, illustrated by Taiga Kasai. It's a Stage 1 Pokémon with 90 HP, the Ability Share Happiness which heals 30 damage from one of your Pokémon, and the attack Bite for 30 damage. Below you can see the version from the Pokémon Center box, recognisable by the logo at the bottom of the card.
What makes the Pokémon Center version special?
The choice for Nidorina is no coincidence. Nidorina sits at number 0030 in the Pokédex, and there are exactly 30 of them hidden in the illustration. A double nod to thirty years of the Pokémon TCG, and precisely the kind of detail collectors pick up on.
In the Pokémon Center version you get that illustration twice: once regular, and once with the Pokémon Center logo printed on it. That makes it a separate variant alongside the regular promo.
Because the set isn't out yet, there is no market data on what that stamped version will be worth, let alone a PSA 10 value. Once the first sales come in after September 16, we'll know more.
Is this Elite Trainer Box interesting to collect?
The 30th Celebration set is a special release in any case: an anniversary set that launches worldwide at the same time doesn't come around every year. That makes the whole line-up extra sought after by collectors who want that bit of anniversary flavour.
On top of that, the Pokémon Center version is more limited than the standard box you find in every store, and less supply generally means a product becomes scarcer over time. Please note: card values can go up as well as down. There is no guarantee of value appreciation.
