The Pokémon Horizons series on Netflix is a fresh start within the Pokémon world. After following Ash and Pikachu for years, this series brings a completely new adventure with new main characters, mysterious artefacts and legendary Pokémon. On 7 February 2025 the newest season arrived worldwide on Netflix and fans could not believe their luck. What is Pokémon Horizons?

Pokémon Horizons is the successor to the classic Pokémon anime in which Ash had the lead. In this new series we follow two new characters: Liko from the Paldea region and Roy from Kanto. Together they begin an adventure that takes them through various regions, in search of secrets, legendary Pokémon and their own place in the world.

They join the Rising Volt Tacklers, an adventurous group led by Friede, with his partner Pokémon, Captain Pikachu. The series is packed with action, mystery and new mechanics such as Terastal Evolution.

Seasons & release of Pokémon Horizons

• Season 1: consisted of two parts – “Liko and Roy's Departure” and “The Sparkling of Terapagos”.
• Season 2: titled “The Search for Laqua” and started on 12 April 2024 in Japan. The worldwide release on Netflix was on 7 February 2025.
• Arc 1: Terastal Debut – Liko, Roy and Dot train at the Naranja Academy.
• Arc 2: Rayquaza Rising – the search for the Six Heroes.
• Arc 3: Mega Voltage – a one-year time jump and the return of Mega Evolutions.

Each arc consists of 11 episodes, which keeps the tension and the viewing pleasure high. Part 3 arrived on Netflix on 27 June 2025.
