Burning Shadows is the third set of the Sun & Moon era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released on 4 August 2017. The set holds 169 cards, revolves around Necrozma and Team Skull, and includes Charizard-GX along with a run of Rainbow Rares.

Those Rainbow Rares are worth understanding before you start searching. They are the same cards as the regular version, with the same attacks and the same rules, but printed on a rainbow foil with a texture you can feel. In play they do nothing extra: you buy them purely for how they look. The number gives it away straight away, because they sit above the regular set count.
