Jungle

Jungle is the second set in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released on June 16, 1999 in North America. This set introduced 64 new cards and was the first expansion after the Base Set, focusing on Grass- and Normal-type Pokémon such as Scyther, Snorlax, and Wigglytuff. Jungle also featured the first holographic variants of non-evolving Pokémon and introduced cards with both holo- and non-holo versions. With the addition of popular evolutions and new strategic possibilities, this set became an important expansion for players and collectors. Jungle remains a beloved set for its classic artwork and the introduction of several evolutions from the Kanto region.
