Base Set Series

Below you will find all of the Base Set Series that were released within the Pokémon Trading Card Game. These sets were the beginning of the TCG and introduced the very first cards, with classic artwork and simple yet iconic gameplay mechanics. They did not introduce any new game modes or complex strategies, but they laid the foundation for everything that came after. Due to their nostalgic value, the popularity of cards like Charizard, and the introduction of reverse holos in later versions, these sets remain popular among collectors to this day.
