Platinum – Rising Rivals is the second set in the Platinum series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released on May 16, 2009. This set introduced 120 new cards and placed an emphasis on Pokémon SP, with a focus on the Elite Four and Gym Leaders of the Sinnoh region. With the addition of powerful Lv.X cards such as Luxray GL Lv.X and Infernape 4 Lv.X, this set offered new strategic possibilities and enhanced the competitive play experience within the TCG.
