The set consists of 16 cards, representing the eight basic types of Energy, each in two variants with unique designs. These cards were introduced with the transition to silver borders and feature the name of the Energy at the top of the card for the first time, distinguishing them from previous Energy cards.

In addition, the cards were printed with the newsilver edges, which are standard from the Scarlet & Violet series onwards and provide a more luxurious appearance than the traditional yellow borders.
