Sun & Moon

Sun & Moon is the first set of the Sun & Moon era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released on 3 February 2017. The set holds 163 cards, is set in the Alola region and introduced the GX cards.

Those GX cards come with a rule that defined the whole era. Every GX card has one special GX attack, and you may use only one per game: not one per card, but one in the entire match. Use it at the wrong moment and your strongest move is gone. That is why decks from this period so often revolve around when to save that attack.
