Chaos Rising has been out since 22 May 2026, and it is a set plenty of collectors had been waiting for. Mega Greninja ex takes centre stage, and on top of that you get a few more Mega Evolutions and a solid stack of Special Illustration Rares. The set has been out for a couple of months now, so prices have calmed down and you can really see which cards stay on top.

Chaos Rising came out on 22 May 2026 as part of the Mega Evolution series. The set holds 122 cards, of which the first 86 make up the regular set and cards 107 through 122 are the secret rares. That also explains the numbering you see above: every card in this top 7 sits above 86, so they are all secret rares.

The Japanese counterpart

In Japan this set was released as Ninja Spinner on 13 March 2026, a good two months before the English release of 22 May 2026. The Japanese version holds 83 cards. Three promo cards were added for the English release and one rarity was redistributed, which is why the set is bigger. So if you collect Japanese cards, search for Ninja Spinner rather than Chaos Rising.

What is the most expensive card from Chaos Rising?

Raw, the Special Illustration Rare of Mega Greninja ex (116/086) is the most expensive card in the set, worth around €160 in near mint condition.

As soon as you look at graded cards, the picture shifts. In PSA 10 the Mega Hyper Rare of Mega Greninja ex (122/086) is clearly the most expensive at roughly €711, against about €448 for the Special Illustration Rare. That is because textured Hyper Rares are hard to grade perfectly, so far fewer tens exist. Which card is the most expensive therefore depends on whether you are talking about singles or slabs.

What are the pull rates for Chaos Rising?

A large-scale pack test, in which more than 8,500 Chaos Rising boosters were opened, produced the following odds per pack:

• Double Rare: 1 in 5 packs (20.3%)
• Illustration Rare: 1 in 9 packs (10.7%)
• Ultra Rare: 1 in 12 packs (8.3%)
• Special Illustration Rare: 1 in 83 packs (1.2%)
• Mega Hyper Rare: 1 in 956 packs (0.1%)

Those bottom two rarities are exactly the cards in this overview. Chaos Rising has six Special Illustration Rares and one Mega Hyper Rare in total, and all seven of them are in the list above.

Converted to a booster box of 36 packs, that works out as follows. The chance of at least one Special Illustration Rare in your box is about 36%, so on average you need a good two boxes to land one. For the Mega Hyper Rare the chance per box is about 3.5%, which comes down to nearly 28 boxes on average. And if you are hunting one specific Special Illustration Rare, the chance per box is around 7%.

In short: you will not pull the cards in this list from a single pack, and usually not from a single box either. At odds like these, buying singles is often cheaper than ripping until you hit one.

Conclusion

In short, Chaos Rising has a clear top end and it belongs entirely to Mega Greninja ex. The Special Illustration Rare is the most expensive card raw, while the gold Mega Hyper Rare brings in by far the most in PSA 10. Behind them Cinccino ex is the nicest surprise, and Mega Dragalge ex, Mega Floette ex, AZ's Tranquility and Roxie's Performance round out the list with cards you can chase from roughly twenty euros.

The set has been out for a few months and prices have eased off, so this is a good moment to fill gaps deliberately instead of gambling on packs. Pay close attention to the gap between raw and graded value per card: at the top of the list that gap is large, at the bottom it mostly disappears.
