Base Set 2

Base Set 2 is the fourth set in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, released on February 24, 2000 in North America. This set introduced 130 cards and consisted primarily of reprints of the Base Set and Jungle, making it the first reprint set in the TCG. While no new cards were added, the set did reissue several popular Pokémon, including Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur. Base Set 2 was less well-received than previous sets, possibly due to the lack of Fossil cards and the strong similarity to previous editions. While it did not have a major impact on gameplay, the set remains a nostalgic collection for fans of the early Pokémon TCG years.
