Above you will find all the Neo sets released in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. This run opened the second generation with Pokémon from the Johto region, and brought Baby Pokémon along with the first cards of Totodile, Cyndaquil and Chikorita.

The most important thing that happened here is easy to miss: this is the run in which the game gained two energy types, Darkness and Metal. Before that there were only six. That doubles as a handy way to date a card — come across a Darkness or Metal card and it is from this period or later by definition. When judging a card that looks old, that is one of the quickest checks you can run.
